CVE-2024-32632

Service interruption via printf argument type mismatch

Published Apr 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Incorrect argument type in ASR Falcon/Crane before CP01.057.067 allows attackers to interrupt modem service via a crafted AT command. The AT command handler supplies printf with a value of an incompatible type, causing printf to misinterpret it and access memory out of bounds. Exploitation requires adjacent access and user interaction; the vendor does not identify whether the resulting interruption is a hang, crash, or reboot.
