Stored script execution via unescaped plugin input
Published Apr 17, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Tobias Battenberg WP-Cufon 1.6.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts into generated pages. Public records identify only an unspecified parameter; the plugin stores input without sufficient sanitization and later emits it without adequate output escaping. Exploitation requires a user to open an injected page, where the script runs in that user's browser context and exposes the session to unauthorized data access or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=1.6.10
