Stored XSS via unescaped toolbar settings
Published Apr 17, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Web357 Fixed HTML Toolbar 1.0.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through administrator settings. The plugin stores toolbar content without sufficient sanitization and renders it on front-end pages without context-appropriate output escaping. Administrator privileges are required, and exploitation is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; a visitor must load an affected page for the script to execute.
