Stored XSS via unsanitized button ID
Published Apr 17, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Wpmet ElementsKit Elementor Addons 3.0.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via button IDs. The Button widget accepts its ID parameter without sufficient input sanitization and emits the stored value without context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and the script executes when another user opens the injected page, allowing browser-session data to be read or page actions to be performed as that user.
