Authenticated code execution via AJAX path traversal

Path traversal in Znuny and Znuny LTS 6.0.31 through 6.5.7 and Znuny 7.0.1 through 7.0.16 allows remote authenticated users to upload files. A manipulated AJAX upload request accepts traversal segments and writes the supplied file outside the intended upload directory to any writable path. A valid account is required; code execution follows only when the chosen path is served by the web server and the uploaded content is executable.
