CVE-2024-32474Network attack vector

Superuser credential disclosure via INFO-level logging

Published Apr 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Sensitive-data exposure in Sentry 24.3.0 through 24.4.0 allows attackers with log access to read a superuser password. The _validate_superuser function passes the password-bearing validator object to logger.info as a field of auth-index.validate_superuser. Exposure requires password-based superuser authentication while INFO logging is enabled and access to the resulting logs; the credential grants superuser login.
