Translation disclosure via incomplete API key scope checks
Published Apr 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Missing authorization in Tolgee Platform before 3.57.2 allows remote authenticated users to read translation data through project APIs. TranslationsController accepted API keys without translation.view and derived permitted scopes from the key owner's project permissions, so GET handlers returned translations outside the key's delegated scope. The key must have been created by a user permitted to view translations; exposure is limited to translation and key data in projects the user can access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
