Sandbox escape via bwrap option injection

Argument injection in affected Flatpak releases allows local users to execute arbitrary code outside a compromised application's sandbox. RequestBackground accepts an arbitrary commandline that Flatpak converts into flatpak run arguments without placing -- before the application command, so a leading option such as --bind is parsed by bwrap. Exploitation requires control of a Flatpak application and grants that application host-context code execution and access beyond its intended filesystem isolation.
