Unauthorized notice dismissal via missing nonce validation
Published Apr 15, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSRF in Themefic BEAF 4.5.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to dismiss an administrator notice through a forged request. The bafg_new_feature_notice_dismissed() function accepts the state-changing request without valid nonce verification. Exploitation requires an administrator to open an attacker-controlled link, and the documented effect is limited to dismissing a plugin notice.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
