Stored XSS via unsanitized Advanced Heading attributes
Published May 14, 2024 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Stored XSS in Ultimate Blocks before 3.1.7 allows remote authenticated users with Contributor access to inject scripts into posts. The Advanced Heading block renders attacker-controlled level, blockID, and content attributes as markup without validating or escaping them. Contributor-level access is required, and the scripts execute when another user views the injected page, enabling actions in that user's browser context.
