Authenticated code execution via exam-ticket template injection
Published Apr 26, 2024 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Server-side template injection in inducer RELATE before 2024.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via exam tickets. The Batch-Issue Exam Tickets function evaluates attacker-controlled ticket content as a server-side template instead of treating it solely as data. An authenticated account with access to batch ticket issuance is required, and exploitation runs code with the RELATE service's privileges.
