Instructor-session script execution via stored exam answer
Published Apr 22, 2024 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Stored XSS in inducer RELATE before 2024.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script when an instructor views an exam answer. The InlineMultiQuestion answer field stores attacker-supplied markup and renders it in Exam Analytics without neutralizing script content. Student-level access is required to submit the answer, and an instructor or course administrator must open it; the script then runs in that viewer's browser session.
