Published May 13, 2024 · Updated Nov 1, 2024
Stored XSS in WPXPO PostX before 4.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in visitors' browsers through a crafted block. The Ultimate Post Heading block writes the attacker-controlled headingURL option into page output without validating or escaping the attribute value. Contributor access is required to store the payload, and a visitor must view the post and hover over its heading to trigger script execution.
