Arbitrary file deletion via missing nonce validation
Published Aug 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Looks Awesome Superfly Responsive Menu 5.0.29 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files. The ajax_handle_delete_icons() function accepts forged administrative requests without adequate nonce validation and permits traversal-capable file paths to reach deletion logic. A site administrator must be tricked into submitting the request, which can remove arbitrary files within the web server account's permissions.
