Sensitive data disclosure via injectable pagination limit
Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in HSC Labs MailInspector 5.2.17-3 through 5.2.18 allows remote authenticated users to obtain sensitive data. The mliWhiteList.php exec=fetch handler fails to reject SQL syntax supplied in the limit pagination parameter, and the published proof of concept triggers the flaw by appending a quote to a numeric limit. A valid low-privilege session is required, and the documented consequence is application-database disclosure rather than data modification or service interruption.
