API key disclosure via Gradio path traversal
Published Jun 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Path traversal in GaiZhenbiao ChuanhuChatGPT before 20240305 allows remote attackers to read sensitive files via crafted HTTP requests. Its bundled outdated Gradio file-serving component fails to keep attacker-controlled paths within web_assets, exposing config.json and stored API keys. No authentication or user interaction is required; the demonstrated consequence is arbitrary file disclosure from the application host.
