Authenticated JavaScript execution via stored forwarding comment
Published Apr 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in TOTOLINK N300RT 2.1.8-B20201030.1539 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a port-forwarding comment. The Port Forwarding page stores the Comment value without neutralizing markup and later renders it so an SVG onload handler runs in a visitor's browser. Port forwarding is disabled by default; exploitation requires authenticated access to save the comment and user interaction when the page is revisited.
