Formula execution via unsanitized CSV export
Published Jul 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
CSV formula injection in Tenable Identity Exposure 3.19, 3.29, and 3.42 allows remote authenticated users to plant executable formulas. Application form fields accept formula-leading content that is carried into exported CSV cells without neutralization. Administrative access is required to plant the content, and a second administrator must open the exported CSV in a spreadsheet, where the formula executes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
