Authenticated command execution via unsanitized cmdinput parameter
Published Apr 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Command injection in Tenda AC500 firmware 2.0.1.9(1307) allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands. The formexeCommand function consumes the cmdinput request parameter as command text without neutralizing operating-system command separators. Administrative access to the network management interface is required; exploitation permits command-driven data access and modification, with no reported service interruption.
