Unauthenticated memory corruption via unchecked page length
Published Apr 17, 2024 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda W30E firmware 1.0.1.25(633) allows remote attackers to corrupt memory through a crafted page parameter. The fromVirtualSer function fails to enforce the page value's length before placing it in fixed-size stack storage, overwriting adjacent stack data. The handler is reachable over the router's web-management service without authentication, and exploitation can crash the service or redirect execution in the firmware process.
