Authenticated file placement via image_type path traversal
Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Path traversal in Weaver e-office 9.0 through 9.5 allows remote authenticated users to place uploaded files in chosen directories. The backend save_image.php handler accepts traversal sequences in image_type, creates the supplied directory, and has upfile copy an uploaded file there. High-privilege access is required; the public artifact shows retrieval through /general/down.php from the clienttools directory.
