CVE-2024-32238Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated administrative password disclosure via path traversal

Published Apr 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Incorrect access control in H3C ER8300G2-X allows remote attackers to read the router's administrative password over HTTP. The login interface accepts a traversal-style GET path ending in the model's configuration file and returns administrative-password fields. No authentication or user interaction is required, but the management HTTP interface must be network-reachable; the demonstrated impact is credential disclosure.
