Authenticated code execution via plugin archive extraction
Published Apr 17, 2024 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in JiZhiCMS 2.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through the administrative plugin updater. The Plugins update endpoint accepts a user-controlled download_url, retrieves a ZIP archive, and extracts executable PHP into the web-accessible app/admin/exts directory. Administrative access is required; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied PHP in the web server context and can compromise the hosted site.
