Unauthenticated code execution via control-path traversal
Published May 8, 2024 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Path traversal in Apache OFBiz before 18.12.13 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through crafted web requests. RequestHandler inconsistently normalizes a crafted control path, so an unauthenticated request can reach the protected ProgramExport view and submit Groovy code. No account or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the OFBiz service's privileges.
