Subscriber-level menu duplication via unchecked AJAX request
Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Different Menu in Different Pages – Conditional Menu 2.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to duplicate menus. The ajax() handler in admin/includes/AjaxRequests/duplicate-menus.php processes a menu-duplication request without checking the caller's capabilities. Any WordPress account with subscriber-level access can create duplicate navigation menus, altering site configuration without higher administrative permission.
