CVE-2024-32057

Code execution via IGS parser type confusion

Published May 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

Type confusion in Siemens PS/IGES Parasolid Translator Component before 27.1.215 and Simcenter Femap before 2406 allows attackers to execute code. The IGS parser accesses a parsed resource using a type incompatible with its original type, enabling memory corruption in the current process. Exploitation requires a user to open a crafted IGS file; successful code runs with the user's process privileges, while failed exploitation can crash the application.
