CVE-2024-32056

Code execution via IGS parser buffer overwrite

Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2025

Out-of-bounds write in Siemens Simcenter Femap before 2406 allows attackers to execute code by opening a crafted IGS part file. The IGS part-file parser writes attacker-controlled data past the end of an allocated buffer, corrupting process memory. Exploitation requires a user to open the file; resulting code runs in the current process with that user's rights.
