Out-of-bounds read in Siemens Simcenter Femap before 2406 allows context-dependent attackers to execute code via a crafted IGS file. The IGS parser reads past the end of an allocated structure, and the same defect affects PS/IGES Parasolid Translator Component before 27.1.215. A user must open the malicious file; successful exploitation runs code in the current process, while failed exploitation can crash the application.
