CVE-2024-32036Network attack vector

Information disclosure via uncleared decoder pixel buffers

Published Apr 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Information disclosure in Six Labors ImageSharp before 2.1.8 and 3.0.0 through 3.1.3 allows attackers to expose process memory via crafted images. The JPEG SpectralConverter and TGA decoder allocate output pixel buffers without clearing reused memory, so undecoded pixels retain data from prior allocations. A consuming application must process an attacker-supplied JPEG or TGA and expose the resulting image buffer; integrity and availability are unaffected.
