Remote code execution via untrusted translation markup
Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 13, 2024
Missing authorization in affected XWiki Platform releases allows remote authenticated users with edit rights to execute server code. ComponentDocumentTranslationBundle loaded translated document content without verifying that its author and content author held the script or administrative rights required by the bundle scope. In a multilingual wiki, an editor can place a Groovy macro in a translation value that executes when a page renders that value, compromising the server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
