Session-context script execution via stored SSID input
Published Oct 30, 2024 · Updated Oct 31, 2024
Stored XSS in the EnGenius ESR580 web interface allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through Wi-Fi SSID fields. The /admin/wifi/wlan1 and /admin/wifi/wlan_guest pages store insufficiently validated SSID content and render embedded scripts when the admin page loads. Administrative access and network adjacency are required; execution occurs in an administrator's session and enables session hijacking, data theft, or redirection.
