Argument injection in affected Mitel SIP phone firmware allows physically proximate attackers with administrative privileges to run commands. Mitel states that insufficient parameter sanitization permits argument injection but does not disclose the affected parameter, handler, or command invocation. The affected releases are 6800 and 6900 firmware 6.3 SP3 HF4 and earlier, 6900w firmware 6.3.3 and earlier, and 6970 firmware 5.1.1 SP8 and earlier; exploitation can expose sensitive information, alter phone configuration, or run commands in the device context.
