CVE-2024-31960

Local memory corruption via driver use-after-free

Published Sep 10, 2024 · Updated Sep 10, 2024

Use-after-free in the Xclipse amdgpu driver in Samsung Exynos 1480 and 2400 allows local users to corrupt kernel memory. The driver mishandles an object's reference count and later accesses the object after its backing memory has been freed. Local low-privileged access is required; successful exploitation can disclose or alter data and crash the device.
