Improper privilege management in Samsung Magician 8.0.0 for macOS allows local users to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges. During installation, directory and executable resources can be tampered with before the privileged installation operation uses them; Samsung has not published the affected file names or missing integrity check. Exploitation requires existing user access and an administrator to enter a password during installation, after which attacker-controlled code runs with elevated privileges.
