Authenticated arbitrary file access via unchecked paths
Published Apr 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Path traversal in MailCleaner 2023.03.14 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read or create arbitrary host files. The monitorlogs download and view endpoints trust the f parameter when constructing log paths, while todaypie incorporates the t parameter into a cache path without enforcing the intended directories. Administrator access is required; arbitrary files can be read, while file creation does not give control over content.
