Sensitive information disclosure via Online Help path traversal
Published Jul 12, 2024 · Updated Mar 14, 2025
Path traversal in StoneFly Storage Concentrator before 8.0.4.26 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive system information. The Online Help facility fails to restrict a crafted path parameter to its intended directory, allowing lookups outside the expected help content. An authenticated session is required, and the documented consequence is disclosure without file modification or service interruption.
