Unauthorized state changes via forged requests
Published Apr 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in BracketSpace Simple Post Notes 1.7.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger unauthorized state changes. Neither Patchstack nor the upstream changelog identifies the affected request handler or missing validation operation, so the code-level mechanism is undisclosed. Exploitation requires a logged-in privileged user to visit a crafted page or follow a malicious link, and the published impact is limited to unauthorized modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
