Administrative action execution via unsanitized email addresses
Published Apr 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in MailCleaner 2023.03.14 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject JavaScript into the Admin Interface via email. The quarantine and tracing dashboards render sender and recipient addresses without sanitization, preserving attacker-supplied markup. A valid recipient address and an administrator opening either dashboard are required; execution can expose email and perform administrative actions.
