Unauthorized actions via modified CSV formula elements
Published Dec 14, 2024 · Updated Dec 16, 2024
SQL injection in IBM Storage Scale GUI 5.1.9.0 through 5.1.9.6 and 5.2.0.0 through 5.2.1.1 allows attackers to perform unauthorized actions. The GUI improperly neutralizes formula elements in an intercepted and modified CSV file, but IBM has not identified the responsible function or SQL operation. Exploitation is remote and unauthenticated but requires interception and modification of the CSV file plus user interaction; the resulting actions can affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
