CVE-2024-31883Network attack vector

Service interruption via asymmetric resource consumption

Published Jun 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Denial of service in IBM Security Verify Access 10.0.0.0 through 10.0.7.1 allows attackers to interrupt service. IBM attributes the failure to asymmetric resource consumption but has not disclosed the request, component, or exceptional condition that consumes disproportionate resources. Exposure is limited to certain configurations; IBM’s narrative says access is unauthenticated, while its published CVSS vector requires low privileges.
