Service interruption via malformed notebook names

Improper input validation in Apache Zeppelin 0.10.1 through 0.10.x allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted note name. The NotebookService.normalizeNotePath method checked raw path text without URL decoding and accepted a trailing slash, allowing encoded traversal components or an empty final name into notebook creation. An unauthenticated network request to the note-creation interface is sufficient, and the documented impact is limited to reduced service availability.
