Authenticated service crash via malicious JST evaluation
Published Oct 17, 2024 · Updated Oct 17, 2024
NULL pointer dereference in EmbedThis GoAhead 6.0.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash the server through a malicious JST file. When JavaScript support is compiled in, evalExpr() dereferences a null pointer while interpreting attacker-controlled JavaScript template content. Exploitation requires privileges to modify a server-side JST file and then have the server process it; the resulting impact is a service crash only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
