CVE-2024-31842Network attack vector

Account takeover via exposed URL access tokens

Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Oct 29, 2024

Information disclosure in Italtel Embrace 1.6.4 allows context-dependent attackers to obtain access tokens from authenticated users' GET URLs. The web application places each authenticated user's access token in the query string, allowing browser history, Referer headers, and web logs to retain it. Exposure requires access to one of those records; attackers who recover a token can take over the affected account.
