CVE-2024-31841Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file reads via filename path traversal

Published Apr 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Path traversal in Italtel Embrace 1.6.4 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary filesystem files through unauthenticated POST requests. Multiple report and log-trace endpoints accept ../ sequences in the filename parameter without confining the resolved path to an intended directory. No account is required, and exposed data includes application source code, configuration files, and other files readable by the web server.
