Unauthenticated code execution via PHP filter chain
Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2024
Code injection in WWBN AVideo 12.4 through 14.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code through a crafted HTTP request. submitIndex.php in the WWBNIndex plugin passes the POST systemRootPath value directly to require_once, allowing a PHP filter chain to supply executable code. The endpoint requires no authentication, and successful exploitation runs code with the web server process's privileges.
