CVE-2024-3181Network attack vector

Administrator-to-administrator stored XSS via unescaped preset name

Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 30, 2024

Stored XSS in Concrete CMS 5.0.0 through 8.5.15 and 9.0.0 through 9.2.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute script. The search-preset edit response inserts the saved preset name into its success message without HTML escaping, so the browser interprets embedded markup. A rogue administrator must first save the payload, and another administrator must edit that filter to trigger script execution in the latter's session.
