CVE-2024-31784Public exploit

Code execution via cross-domain iframe src parsing

Published Apr 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Improper iframe handling in Typora before 1.8.10 allows local users to execute code and disclose data through a crafted Markdown file. The Markdown renderer parses an attacker-controlled iframe tag and loads the cross-domain src content as executable HTML. A local user must open or edit the crafted document and interact with the embedded content; the demonstrated behavior enables website spoofing, while the CVE record also reports code execution and sensitive-data disclosure.
