Browser script execution via unsanitized last-name storage
Published Apr 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Cosmetics and Beauty Product Online Store 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute browser script. The registration handler at classes/Master.php?f=register stores the untrusted lastname value and later renders it without effective sanitization or output encoding. Exploitation requires a victim, including staff or an administrator, to view a page that renders the stored last name; the script then runs in that viewer's browser.
