Stored script execution via unsanitized category name
Published Apr 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2024
Stored XSS in Insurance Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts through the Category Name field. /core/new_category2 accepts a POSTed name value and stores it without neutralizing browser-interpreted markup before later display. Exploitation requires a user, staff member, or administrator to view the stored category, allowing script execution in that viewer's authenticated browser.
