Unauthenticated device-data disclosure via cap.js
Published Apr 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Information disclosure in Intelbras MHDX and HDCVI DVR firmware 20240401 allows remote attackers to read device data via /cap.js. The HTTP GET handler returns /cap.js without authentication, exposing device types, user information, streaming capabilities, ports, and configuration data. Network access to the DVR web service is sufficient; Intelbras disputes the vulnerability because it does not consider the returned information sensitive.
